Early field test · one live guild

The steady hand behind a thriving guild.

Marchwarden helps recurring tabletop communities coordinate the week, care for their players, and carry the story forward—without asking the guild to leave Discord.

Small on purpose. Honest about what we know. Built alongside the people who run the table.

WHY IT EXISTS

Guild night has a lot of moving parts.

Marchwarden is for the invisible work between sessions: the signups, decisions, records, reminders, and little acts of care that make a recurring community feel dependable.

01

Make the week legible

Recurring signups, table choices, reminders, and the final roster follow one steady rhythm instead of a trail of scattered posts.

02

Give every table a fair shot

Priority and seating tools help organizers place players with care while keeping the reasoning visible and the final call human.

03

Let the story carry forward

Characters, progression, rewards, recaps, journals, and the guild shop stay connected from one game night to the next.

A COMPLEMENT, NOT A REPLACEMENT

Discord stays home.

Marchwarden does not want to become another place your members have to remember to check. Conversation, announcements, signups, and community life stay where they already happen.

Marchwarden works quietly around that center—giving organizers a clearer view and members a dependable thread from one week to the next.

OUR RULE OF THUMBIf it belongs in the conversation, it belongs in Discord.

FIELD NOTES

Useful now. Still becoming.

We have learned a great deal from running Marchwarden with Second Dawn Guild. The next useful lesson comes from seeing how it holds up in a community that is not our own.

IN WEEKLY USE

What has earned its place

  • Weekly RSVP and table planning
  • Character progression and rewards
  • Session recaps and player journals
  • A member hub beside Discord

These workflows are supporting a real recurring D&D guild today.

WHAT WE ARE LEARNING

What the next guild can teach us

  • A smoother first setup for a new guild
  • More room for different guild traditions
  • The support real volunteer organizers need
  • What remains useful after the first season

We are looking for signal, not scale for its own sake.

A PRODUCT IN ITS FIRST SEASON

We would rather be useful than look finished.

“Build with the guilds who feel the problem, then let the product earn the right to grow.”

That means careful onboarding, close feedback, and room to change our minds. No inflated community numbers. No pretend certainty. Just a working platform and a small team paying attention.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you raise your hand.

Is Marchwarden ready for every guild?

Not yet. It is working with one active guild today, and we are looking for a small number of thoughtful organizers who are comfortable shaping an early product with us.

Does it replace Discord?

No. Discord remains where the guild talks, signs up, and gathers. Marchwarden gives the recurring operational work a dependable shape around that home.

What kind of community is it for?

Marchwarden is being built around ongoing tabletop guilds: recurring game nights, rotating tables, shared progression, volunteer organizers, and a community that continues between sessions.

What does joining early involve?

A conversation about how your guild works, a careful setup if the fit is right, and candid feedback as your group uses it. We would rather learn deeply with a few communities than make big promises too soon.

JOIN THE EARLY CIRCLE

Run a guild that keeps showing up?

If you organize a recurring tabletop community and this feels familiar, we would like to hear how your week works—and whether Marchwarden might be useful in it.
